Photoshop collage

Here is my photoshopped collage. I started with my ribcage as an imported picture and for a second thought it resembled a beehive, hence the theme. I wanted it to be bigger, but had a few problems with paper sizing and the like, and afterwards it was a bit too late to add any more paper or items. Although I am very pleased with this finished project, I feel it could use a bit more.....

  1. That bee covered in pollen just makes me smile every time I see it! It's great how you were able to incorporate all these different elements that have to do with bees and honey into your collage. They really look like they belong there; you did great for never having worked in photoshop before! You were able to make the connection between the ribcage and a beehive, which is so original and fun! I never would have thought of it, but it works so well!

  2. Whoa, wait a second. You'd never used photoshop before this?!? NO FREAKIN' WAY!!! This is beautifully combined, and all the pieces are blended so well!

I still have to say that the title up there makes it look like a greeting card, which adds a cute charm to it.

  3. The knowledge of your lack of prior photoshop skills while looking at this is mindblowing. The cuts of the elements are very clean and precise, which is very difficult and tedious to do in such a complicated web-based program. While the cuteness of the piece can be taken positively and negatively, its huge plus is definitely that you have made it your own.

  4. despite being fantastically photoshopped, what I most marvel at in this piece is how quickly you did it. I remember looking at your screen in class and seeing you having done a fair amount of this already - as opposed to me who hadn't even started. I think your idea of the bee hive is really interesting and works well with the shape of the ribs. My only criticism is that while the words at the top of the image are hilarious, they do give the piece a sort of greeting card feel... something that is very hard not to do when adding words - so from a personal preference, I would prefer this piece without the words.

  5. You are a Photo-shop natural, my friend. This is really amazing. You integrated everything so well, flowing things together and using some transparency. I also enjoyed the phrase at the top, it's cliche and humorous, and completes your piece's whimsical air. This could absolutely be some sort of greeting card.
