So we weren't required to do this project, but I wanted to test out my primacolor pencils.... okay, so I just thought it was assigned and I did and I thought it turned out well. Gimme some feedback with what you think!! :)

  1. This is working! I appreciate the strong sense of color in each object, and the arrangement across the page. Depicting fruit straight on with the different elements of foreshortening as you have can be very difficult. To aid in this effect, it might be useful to blend complementary colors (green into red, purple into yellow, etc.) into the shadows - both within and around the objects, in addition to the black - to further deepen the effect & enhance the complexity of colors on the page. Think of the Impressionists and how they bounce your eye from color to color separately, combining them for effect when you focus on the whole composition.

  2. While this wasn't an official project, I really like the time and effort you put into this project and I think it really shows. Your coloring and shading seems really smooth and not rushed, and I feel you did a good job of capturing the light source, especially on the bell pepper. So even though this wasn't assigned... well done :)
